Innovations in the 2008 ACO regulations
LM P1:
- Minimum weight: 900 kgs
- Air restrictors on petrol-engined cars increased by 3%

given that the bulk of the p1 field is gas powered why restrict them agai? is this to keep audi happy? since the bulk of the p1 field is privateers why not give them a break? is this a way to put them dogs down and kick them into p2? too bad they don't have the clout that audi has. maybe the p1 privateers should not race and let the aco look at a 2 car p1 and a 2 car gt1 race and see how absurd that really is looking.

Isn't that one of those backwards notations? In other words, to increase the restrictor by 3% means to make the hole bigger?

Yes, I would third the idea that this is an increase in air not a decrease. Also the P-1 petrol cars will run at last years weight which was 880 kg. under bulletin #08-01 sect. 5; via last years bulletin #07-19
