Default Fuel Variance?

Well the Petit LMP2 results are provisional pending outcome of protest (fuel legality)
here
According to Mulsanne Mike this was addressed earlier in the week with IMSA Competitor Memo #ALMS 08-04. Hmm, there is no IMSA Competitor Memo #ALMS 08-04 posted at the IMSA site. Oversight?

Yes it is over additives. By base rule all fuel is to be the same.

They didn't finish the race. If they had, they probably would have won the challenge.

Well by the looks of this the protest has been resolved in favor of Penske. Wonder if this is the last we (don't) hear of it?

Hmm, yes it seems that the fuel variance has been rescinded for the race at Laguna. But once again there is nothing in the bulletin section on the action/decision. Wonder who the pivot man on this one was?!
