Sitting here in the Richmond, VA airport...surrounded by everything NASCAR....and having two hours to kill before my next flight, I do what every fan of the ALMS does....read up on any new developments by surfing the net....reading forum banter and so on...right?

It simply is amazing how the NASCAR marketing steam roller is everywhere in this town, and specifically in this airport. From coffee mugs, to the Double T's Barbeque, to the Applebees where I am eating breakfast....NASCAR....NASCAR....NASCAR....

SEMA Not In The Cards For The Series?

The other road racing (well, sportscar racing) series in North America (GARRA) has always had a nice showing at SEMA. This year in Detroit (NAIAS), GARRA was also on display with the Pontiac GT entry.

A much bigger presence in Detroit in 2007 though, and nice surprise, was that of the American Le Mans Series. Of course with the Detroit Grand Prix on the schedule, and the home of the 'Big Three', it was a natural fit for the ALMS. Although the ALMS booth was outside of the main...

I am modularly constructed with a front end, cockpit section and rear section independently coupled together. A friend of mine named Tom worked hard with me....

Slide Shows and Music Royalities

During the 2006 season, I created several slide shows of pictures taken during the ALMS season, and in addition to the IMSA hardcard issued, I purchased from the Series rights to sell the pictures for a profit. Was going to fork over the money again for 2007, but was asked by a few not to do so (for various reasons), and in looking back, considering I only attended Sebring, Houston, and SLC, was a wise financial decision.

The slide shows were not meant for distribution, but rather...
