Greetings all.

Wednesday at the track provided the usual bits of goodness. Fast cars, great scenery and plenty of opportunities to photograph the best sports cars in the world.

I'll be posting images from Thursday in the gallery section of this forum later.

Portland Repaving

A friend of mine lives in Portland and has been the track shooter there for some time.

Yesterday he dropped by to shoot a few frames of the repaving and offered some insight into what they are doing there.



Reconfigured turns 6,7,8. Mostly wider, way wider. the biggest change outside of being wider is that where there used to be a huge downhill dip into turn 7 is now pretty much...

Truly random musings...

I had a random thought the other afternoon about what the future may hold for sports car racing in the next few years and maybe the next ten years.

Obviously we are in the midst of a resurgence of our favorite form of racing. More manufacturers are getting involved in the ALMS and existing teams are looking to upgrade equipment, series, and quite possibly the class they are racing in.

With the return of closed top prototypes for 2010 we are hearing some rumblings that...
