Default LG Motorsports

Though I guess LG coming to GT2 in the ALMS is no longer a rumor. I'm still not holding my breath on that Ford GT.

As to the Ford GT, Robertson Racing announced campaigning a Ford GT in 2008. Not sure the extent of their season plans. So at least one Doran built GT has a home. Another car is committed only to Sebring, so unlikely to see both cars running a full sked.

As to Lou, is ALMS prepared?

**In Car Video from LG Motorsports ALMS Tire Test- record setting Lap at Texas MSR**

Hi Guys

This is the in-Car Video from the ALMS tire test that we just did at Texas Motorsports ranch on the 1.7 mi CCW track.

http://www.lgmracing.com/lgm-0720-almstt01.wmv

Again, this test was done in our World Challenge Corvette C6 in WC Trim with restrictor plate in place with the only difference being the Tires used in the test. We did a back to back test against our WC Tires to get a base line on those tires since the Texas weather can be a huge factor in any times at the track. The temp was in the mid seventies this day.

Tire info coming later.

This time is faster than we have ever been on that track including with our Trans Am Corvette w 700+hp.

This is a record for Closed ****pit GT cars there also.

Data showed over 2 g's

Enjoy it

I did

Thanks
Lou Gigliotti

LGM
Great in-car as usual from Lou.

LOL, aw come on Lou, we love you; you know that.

Go ahead and give them some of that good old American can-do attitude. It will be good for the ALMS.

I always enjoyed reading your posts on the SCCA WC boards. I look forward to seeing what you have to say here.

The Robertsons will be at all 2008 ALMS races next season in their Ford GTR. Their PR guy sent me an email detailing it when I was asking them for some info on their Panoz.

Hallen,

I tried to be good over at the SCCA board but they just could not leave me alone. I would be considered a Libertarian of Racing. I just want Government (read sanctioning body) to make the rules and get out of the way. Even if one of the NON Prefered teams is winning.

BUT NOOOOOOOO.

So I am heading to the ALMS because that is how I perceived the rules there. As long as I don't mess up and hit a Ferrari or Porsche, then my team should be good to go.

In athe WC series, "if Lou can win, the rules MUST be wrong". but in alms I asked it the series had any intention of slowing the Ferrari down and there answer was NO! Which IS the right answer.

Ferrari won 8 races, and good job I say. They didn't need SCCA to take a hundred pounds off they just followed the rules that we all read when we sign up and they made the best of it.

That is our plan. We read the rules, and we think we have a chance. And if we are REALLY good and we win 8 races like Ferrari then there will also be NO Adjustments. (we can only hope to win one but eight would be a miracle)

At any rate, we plan on being a good ALMS citizen. And therefore a good Forum citizen. (as long as todd doesn't crack too many jokes at MY expense) [todd, starting now]

Thank guys

See you at the races---------with a smile on my face as usual.

You let me worry about Todd. LOL -

Just think, Lou... you get to have your very own blog over here. No tight little forum boxes to type into... you get a whole big-ass page all to yourself. You just have to worry about me. Who loves ya?

That's a great viewpoint, and it's an honor to have you joining the series, as well as the boards. I wish you the best of luck this year!

Hi Lou,
I just want to be clear. I was NOT being sarcastic above. I know (to a small degree) what you went through with WC. The whole Caddy deal smelled pretty bad.
And even though I am not a Vette guy for the most part, I will be rooting for you this year.

Will you be driving again? Do you have a second driver picked out? Dino was pretty quick in your car at Portland that one year
