| Lola Coupes Well it would seem that there is good progress on the Lola coupes in build at Huntingdon. Via an article at DSC. Hopefully more to come, soon, on that front!

| Thanks for the update.
I miss last year when you could go on for free, though the reason for it sucked. I love the site and all the info, and with paddock now gone its harder to get good stuff. Wish I could afford to use DSC.
Oh well keep us posted on any new developments. |

| Does anyone know if Lola builds car thens looks for buyers or vise versa. Basically are these cars they're building earmarked for a team already. I would think if they were we'd have heard a rumor by now. |

When building a new chassis(read tub) they are usually pretty good about making sure that it is good for several iterations of car. That being said they probably build say 3 cars of a new design with the expectation of selling at least 1 or 2 to start with and the rest as reserves for support packages unless they get more orders, then they would already have a tub or two to start with and only body panels need to be (possibly) laid up to replace those used to build the car and then the cycle repeats itself as they restock the bins, up to and including the tubs.

| Well it seems that the first Lola Coupe to be announced as going to a customer is a
B08/80 bound for Speedy-Sebah Racing in the LMS, and mention of the first B08/60 going to the LMS also.

| I hope B-K gets one. I think their livery would look great on it, perhaps even a bit 787Bish. I'm wondering, with Mazda unveiling this LMP based coupe concept car for NAIAS, could that be a pre-cursor to them running a Lola B08? |

The car would be an attention grabber no matter how fast or not fast it is. |

| What's the difference between a B08/80 and a B08/60? Why don't they go with B08/10 and B08/40 (like it was with the B2Ks and B05s/B06s for P1/P900 and P2/P675-damn all these numbers!)?

I do agree the names of all these Lolas is starting to get difficult. Perhaps they wanted to go with a separate system of numbers for coupes compared with open cars. Also, will Lola still be making open cars, or are these 2 coupes their only LMP offerings now? |
