I spoke with Al on Friday... not dead in the water.

The bear's new poop is up and Murphy claims Dyson WILL have 2 cars, perhaps trading one Andy for another (Lally, I assume).

Also thinks that Intersport will probably have the new LMP2 Lola coupe, stating Judd is not a likely choice (so Mazda then?)

Also, an Atlanta-based team is again looking to put together a GT2 campaign (likely a Ferrari). Who could it be? J3? Kinetic? Someone else?

Also some news on Scott Sharp/Patron and CDW, but as is often the case with Murphy, there are now more questions out there than answers...

I hope it's true... I'm all for larger grids. You can understand my skepticism though due to the multiple missed deadlines.

There is no LMP2 Intersport Lola.... and the motor as of today will remain AER. And, Mazda as yet to officially announced the customer motor program... that was Autoweek.

Looks like the factory Vettes are confirmed for the whole season according to a GM Racing press release.

Perhaps I read incorrectly, but I thought it was going to be Collard and Dumas in the #7 for 2008 with Bernard in for the long races.

Wow, I look at this list and think how wonderful sports car racing would be if this all of this actually happened. Here is my take, and based completely on trying to connect some dots and is by no stretch of the imagination based on anything other than that.

LMP1: The Creation addition would be great, but I feel a long shot at best for the entire season. Peugeot for sure at Sebring - the French press corps are looking for hotel rooms.
LMP2: Looks pretty accurate to me until you get to the "maybes" list and all of that seems a pipe dream at best.
GT-1 Got to think Aston Martin will defend their title at Le Mans. Wish they would return full-time to ALMS, but I think they are working on a bigger/future project - a prototype of some sort for 2010 or 2011 so the Vette/Aston rivalry can continue.
GT2: No announcement yet from Rahal, Panoz, only one driver confirmed at Tafel, PWL seems to prefer the desert to the road - although let's hope the Dakar mess helps them see the ALMS light, Doran Ford GT-40 would be a welcome addition as would a 3rd Lizard Porsche, Spyker ? - Do they have a distributor in India that wants to race sports cars? BMW - will they announce their plans at the Detroit show in January? 6,000 attending media would be a good reason to. As great as this class is, lots of unsolved puzzles at the present moment.
The truth will set us all free in a few short weeks. Can't wait.

LMP 1
Creation is not listed as a full season entry. They are listed for "The 3" races outside the body of the LMS season (mainly), Sebring,PLM and Laguna.

LMP 2
That is why they are on a comepletely seperate list with a big *MAYBE'S* preceding it!
