| Alms @ Naias 08 With the 2008 North American International Auto Show just a few days away, it looks like the ALMS will have quite a presence there.
I remembered last year they had a booth out in the lobby of Cobo Hall. Anyone know if this will be the case again?
I know Bryan Herta will be one of the featured drivers on hand for Racing Day, which is
The ALMS has a press conference scheduled for 8:30-8:55am on Tuesday, Jan. 15. From what I've heard, there seems to be some sort of "green" announcement coming from the series.
Also, BMW is rumored to be unveiling a "GT2 Concept" and if that is the case, the wraps will come off of at their press conference from 1:10-1:35pm on Sunday, Jan 13.
I'd assume there may be a fair amount of ALMS cars on display as well. Corvette? Audi? Acura? Ferrari? And Mazda will have their ALMS based Furai concept car on display (The star of the entire show I'm predicting). Porsche will, unfortunately not be at NAIAS this year though.
Anybody heard anything else about ALMS @ NAIAS?
Also, anybody else going? I can't wait!

| With the announcement scheduled to be given at the NAIAS by the ALMS on "green" alternative fuels and listening to the Autosport International show from the NEC there was a segment where Hindy, Sam Collins and (I don't remember) were talking about green tech and a quick, slight reference to a another (large by my impression)diesel announcement being made soon. In the full scope of this segment Audi and Shell were mentioned. So I was thinking that we could very well be seeing Audi run on bio-diesel this year in the ALMS. NAIAS story link
I know it is posted in 2 threads. I thought it fit in both. If not and you just want a link posted John then .....

| So John, What is your schedule for the show? Are you there today or will it be later in the 2 weeks of the show? Is there a timeline for the ALMS announcement, Industy Segment?

Is there a timeline for the ALMS announcement, Industy Segment? | I'm not attending this year. Typically, I only do a day or day and a half. Honestly, from a media standpoint, the show is over by end of day Monday. What happens after that is pretty much non-news.
Besides, Kristin is in Long Beach this week.. and I have a feeling that there would not be a whole lot left of the Michelin Media Center if I let Marlon loose in there. LOL
The only thing I was interested in was the Mazda concept..
