Default Vici Racing in GT2

Vici Racing has announced a partial season in GT2.....

I was fortunate enough to be their photographer last year at Daytona for their DP program and they are a great bunch of guys....as I also assisted Terry Borcheller, was a lot of fun.

When they contacted me this year, they were leaning to just Sebring, but hey a partial season is great news for the Series.....Wonder who will be thier photographer this year? I may have to call Edd back and tell him to dismiss my earlier email saying I was no longer covering the ALMS and say I will accept their offer and shoot for them again....

2008 is looking to be a great season for the ALMS!

So is this the ex-Team Trans Sport car and Borcheller is just staying with it?

A few years ago, we had several teams defect to Grand Am, and everyone was freaking out, now it seems to be the other way around. Teams want to come to the ALMS!

Perhaps they'll run all the races that don't conflict with Grand Am weekends.

Not sure....Dont think so, btw they are based in Florida (Miami).....

Edd wrote me early December about wanting me to shoot for them again, and at that time he said just Sebring....but possible others....Will ask Edd when he writes me back (just sent him a congrats email)

They had XM Radio as their sponsor for their DP program.....so wonder who they will have?

Of course, these colors would look great on a GT2 entry and I think I know who will be shooting for them!!!

Maybe their realizing it's not that much cheaper. You still have to have a chunk of change to compete with the Chip Ganasi's, Gainsco's, etc... The longer Grand-Am schedule eats up costs as well. The cost of the car is really a small part of the cost of running a car for the year.

Default Um....

And does it say driving a GT2 entry in the ALMS is equal as challenging and difficult as driving a 'Prototype' in GARRA?

Seriously, I am glad they are coming to the ALMS....and it is good for many others who work in the series....

When I did, I was a very very VERY small fish trying to squeak out some business and if it was not for the little guys and teams, would not have been able to do it. Teams like Vici, Zip, Carsport, van der Steur, and a other small teams (small in as budget) make the ALMS great and they need photography too!

With all these hints as to who the photographer will be, I still can't figure it out.

Default Photogs

Well...if Edd goes by my recommendation, I know who it will be!

There are plenty to pick from though....and believe me, it can get pretty ugly in the media center when conversations start about clients and who is shooting for who,,,,and how much (or little) they are being charged.
