Default LeMans Entry list is out.

! Official website of 24 Heures du Mans 2007 and 24 Heures Moto 2007 - ACO

Looks like Porsche has it's work cut out for them...8 GT2 Ferraris vs. 3 Porsches. So I guess the ACO wants to end Prosches GT2 dominance??

3 Audis and 3 Puegeots. Two Spyders in LMP2. 4 C6.Rs and 4 DBR9s.

I'm sure one of the diesels will likely win overall, but there's a HUGE variety of LMPs this year. I'm seriously excited for the race this year!

quote: "Last but not least, those who remember the only outright Japanese (and rotary engine) victory at Le Mans by the Mazda 787B in 1991, will have a soft spot for the Lola-Mazda entered in LM P2 by the Kruse Schiller team from Germany. The unique sound of the rotary engine will cause more than a few spectators to sit up and take notice!"

someone thinks that car is rotary-powered, whoops....

Is the Charouz Lola/Judd the Cytosport/Jota entry??

From the ACO Press Release
Quote:
But Porsche is also down to race in LM P2. Two RS spyders entered by private teams will make their Sarthe debut. In 2007, these cars gave Audi a severe headache in the American Le Mans Series. They are quick and agile and will do everything possible to fight at the front - and not just in their own category.
Interesting...I thought you guys don't want them racing at the front...yet you'll publicize the fact they might

Horag never races at Le Mans, at least they never did with their Lola. Binnie is not racing at all this year because his daughter is extremely ill and he's focusing on her health.

Horag has stated from the announcement of their getting a Spyder that they would not be at Le Mans this year. And Bill Binnie has family matters that way over shadow the importance of Le Mans or racing period and will hopefully return after they have been taken care of.

Definitely going to be awesome battles in each class this year. Can't wait. It's way too long until June.

Question Sebring

When was the year that Sebring no longer became relevant to ACO's decision on who was invited to their party?

Sure would be nice to have Sebring be part of the decision process...."Do well at Sebring and we will consider you..."
