At the Friday Patron Highcroft Racing tech talk the head crew chief said that de Ferran get's the first chassis then a month later they get the next one. He also said that the engine for the p1 is pretty much the same with a few slight motifications.

David Brabham told me that they will start testing the car in December, a month late. The first tests will most likely be at Homestead.

So according to what you have both said the first car will arrive in the end of Oct. beginning of Nov. just like I posted and is bound for de Ferran. Then Highcroft will get theirs approx. a month later.

Hmm, a few slight modifications? Larger c.i.d. and twin turbos?

Brabs said that the design of the car is not "radical", but rather pretty similar to current prototypes out there. Except for a few aspects of the car, apparently.

This kind of goes against what Gil de Ferran has been saying, as he's been boasting how the car is very "radical looking" (no pun).

Open or closed top? Still up in the air, but I have a feeling it's closed top per Gil's above comments.

Hmm, maybe a hardtopped roadster? Best of both worlds!

Well since I do not have the benefit of the as yet un-publshed photo(s) that Mike has, with what has been presented to us (the general fan base), I am not so sure that it is the proposed 'F-1' raised nose on the car, in the shots at Mikes, that is being put forth. The pics that I have seen of the Acuras in a similar profile (heck most P-cars) to what Mike has, looks very similar .
