Default Real relevant results for Michelin

GM announced today that Michelin will become the OEM supplier for tires on Corvette replacing Goodyear. This is a prestigious accomplishment for Michelin as Goodyear as had a stronghold on the supply for a long, long time. The decision was based on Michelin's ability to prove Corvette performance on the race track.

Read in the Detroit News.

It's amazing the performance Michelin has accomplished with their tires. Wish I could say the same for Goodyear as they have been kicked out of every major racing series they have ever been involved witih. (indy cars, formula one etc....)

I remember when he said that. He said when he gets home from the race he was going to dismount anything he had with goodyears and put hoosiers, or something else.

But they haven't "been KICKED OUT of EVERY major series..." In a few instances, they decided they weren't competitive enough, or, finacially it wasn't worth their time, etc. I'm not aware of any series that has "kicked them out," as if banned by the rules. IIRC, NA$CoT tried a different tire in one of their major series, and that didn't turn out so well.
Besides, I really don't think it'll happen in NA$CoT, the drivers have bitched more about the CoT than they have about the tires, and nothing has changed there. Until GY decides the money they're paying NA$CoT to be the "sole tire supplier" is no longer getting the return on the investment, they'll cotinue on.
BTW, I'm not a GoodYear fan.

Because of you.

It was brought up as a response to something YOU said.
