Default ECO Radical SR10

AUTO-RACING - ALMS: Two New LMP1 Diesels Planned for 2008 - SPEEDtv.com
This could be a stroke of brilliance! Bring a pair of diesel cars to an LMP1 class that will likely see only part time involvement from Audi & Peugeot. Race against gas powered privateers, and, if they have the pace the claim, perhaps take an overall LMP1 title for the season??? It is a one year window as the full 50kg ACO weight increase will be implemented for LMP2 for '09, which would presumably bring Audi back.

I've been aware of the program for a few days now but reading Murphy today a light bulb turned on in my head. Could make for some great prototype racing, it would be great to have battles in both classes. Now all we need is Cytosport, Arena, and Creation to come back too. This is shaping up to be a season to remember!

This is a 3 year program with talks of taking the "green" idea further. Cant wait to hear how the V10 sounds.

ECO Racing released some of the specifications to the car..

Translated version of http://www.endurance-info.com/index.php?op=edito

Horsepower: 610 at 4200rpm
Torque: 1100Nm at 3800 rpm
(which translates to 811lb. ft.?)

Down on horsepower to the Audi, but the torque is a bit more on target.

Well it seems that we will not see ECO Racing back on the grid until some time in July. I would hope that they will be at Lime Rock but that is not a given at this point.
