Default Creation AIM

Well with the subdued passing of information that Ian Bickerton was no longer associated with Creation coming out at Le Mans. And the subsequent (non) actions from Autocon concerning their chassis after Le Mans it has me wondering just what was going on with Creation. Then the news 2 days ago that the team was testing at Snetterton with both cars with drivers Stuart Hall and Jamie Campbell-Walter, with the addition of new drivers Liz Halliday and Stephen Simpson, and that Creation/AIM plans on racing at the fianal 2 rounds in both series. Then today they, Creation AIM, have launched a new site, that seems to indicate that Yukinori Suzuki has stepped up his participation in the team as it lists him as owner with Mike Jankowski. This looks as if it is more like AIM/Creation, seems that Suzuki has assured a testbed/showcase for his engine! I guess the question now becomes, will they pull back in and concentrate on the AIM, will they continue to sell/support chassis or will it be a package only deal ( Creation/AIM ) that they offer to customers? Also does this assure we will see a Creation AIM in the upcoming Asian Le Mans Series? I guess we will know more, in the weeks and months to come.

Liz to be in the seat at Nurburgring this weekend. This will help solidify the pairing with Simpson before they cross the pond for PLM/Laguna. link

It will be good to see Liz back in the Series... even if just for two races.

Hmm, Jankowski is pretty optimistic in the face of Intersport and Autocon's departure from the brand.

Maybe a deal for someone with a possible tie in to Liz as a pay driver?

Now with the current news that Oreca-Courage has secured a deal with AIM and it seems to be of an exclusive nature, coupled with the news that it is an amicable deal for Creation, is this the death knell for Creation as a mfg., fronting for KVM? Will we see Creation carry on as a race team, maybe running an Oreca-Courage/AIM LC70E?

Does this open the door for a Creation Judd combo in the ALMS providing they can find funding?

It's definitely on the list, as it seems they will be running the Creation chassis at this point.

It seems logical, I wonder where they will find the budget though? Liz Halliday's sponsors? I talked to her at Petit and she said the same thing as everyone else, she would love to be back full time but was looking for funding. They may have a tough time selling cars with Interport and Autocon as references. Plus they looked well off the pace at the final 2 races, and it wasn't just tires. If we are lucky there may be 1 Creation on the grid next year IMO.

It could very well be a Zytek 4.5L in the Creation as well. That Zytek engine performed quite well at Petit and Laguna. And in the past has been said to be one of the more economical, fiscally, to run. ???
