| Quote of the week (so far). Quote: |
Oliver Gavin exclaimed, “ I cannot believe that this race is taking place. Not only are there so few cars here, but the facilities are quite primitive.”

| Is there enough cars for teams to score points in the series? |

| Doesn't seem like many members of the media made the trip to South America.. DSC just has Janos... Endurance-Info have a few on-site, but I think that's pretty much it (from the regulars)..
It's a shame that this is the season finale.. Low turnout on all ends. If it was the season opener (say for 2008 - run at the traditional Jan/Feb date for the Mil Milhas event), I think more teams would have shown up.
IMO, it's a perfect setting for an end-of-year "combined" ACO-sanctioned race for ALMS, JLMC and LMS entrants. Award an auto entry to Le Mans for each class winner. At least the ACO tried to attract American and Japanese teams, but with no incentive to go, why go? |

| Larbre wanted to run the # 51 as the # 50, points wise, at Interlagos and seems to be a little miffed that someone should protest it. link

I'd be ok with that. |

The 08 season has an 8 week (approx) break after LeMans. If they made it 4 weeks into that it would allow plenty of time and keep it in the body of the season rather than the end. The awarding of an invite would also be a good incentive to add to it. Just a thought!

Perhaps a 1000km race at Suzuka or Fuji for LMS and JLMC teams. But the only problem is that no ALMS teams would make the trip since they will be back in the heart of the summer stretch of races.. I think the only real solution would be end of year (like how the ACO held the Le Mans 1000km race on the Bugatti circuit in 2003. A few American teams came over - Intersport and someone else I think..) |
