Italian GT?
Super GT
The former JLMC
Any others?
You can't in Italian GT anymore.. It's really just ALMS, LMS, FIA GT and FFSA GT. Super GT, I guess you can.. But it requires a lot of modifications. And JLMC has been awfully quiet lately. Not sure what's happening there.

Slightly O.T.;
John, you probably already know this but, the JLMC is no longer! It is to be replaced (rumored link) with/as the Asian LeMans Series, to be run (?) by the ACO.

Ahh - I knew the ACO took control of the series for 2008 but must have missed this part. Thanks for the link.

It's probably a wiser choice going with an Asian series anyways, instead of just racing in Japan. But very little news, which isn't good at this late in the going (for 2008 season).

Well what has sorta been circulating or maybe just formulated in my own feable mind is that the series will not be back in full until 09. With the final round of the 08 LMS season to be the kick-off/demo race and it would/could be in Shanghai (of the rumored final round destinations). Blog entry on the subect.

SRT will run Corvette C6.R #006 in the FIA GT and FFSA GT in 2008. Sohail Ayari and Bruno Hernandez will drive in the FFSA GT. Drivers for the FIA GT have not been announced yet though.

The team's C5-R will be run by AT Racing in the FIA GT Citation Cup.

For now I guess this goes here.

Hmm, as I have now read a more detailed report (@DSC) on the matter of the press conference by Ratel from Spa. Concerning the FIA World GT-1 Championship along with the rest of FIA GT, it clarifies nothing about the former. Still does not have a rules ratification, and with what he is still proposing to the "4" (GM, AM, Porsche and Ferrari) as to the amount of participation they are allowed vs the amount of development it will require for a GT-1, seems rather un-attractive! Most of the rounds outside of Europe are still to be determined, with the Australian round they have not even talked to anybody yet and the US round not even being thought about until 2011. Also the excuse given for the US is the poor economy? This should be the perfect time to put on a show in the US as his money goes a lot farther with the current exchange rate!

Seems like another session of Ratel blowing smoke up my arse, trying to get me to believe it! Nothing is clear yet, other than, he thinks he can.

Default 09 and Beyond

It seems that none of the teams really want a GT-1 World Championship, as late as Zolder. And the Ratel has asked/told them to be quiet about their lack of support for it until the calendar for it comes out in Dec.

Lord knows you (he) don't want the prospective venues to find out that he does not have the support of the teams. Might just tip the scales in the wrong way with those that he is having to cajole into it!
