Evidently the "Shout Box" in the "Paddock" selection box is a real time texting function. Not sure how it works yet ( individually or as a chat room?) but that will have to be figured out before the season starts.

What is with these new pit stop rules? They stack everybody up until the safetycar comes around causing a huge traffic jam. What a mess.

Every body just goes there and shouts... just like a chat room. Not my cup of tea... but it's there.

Yeah, the race was boring and predictable.
Way too many cars broke. Hard to believe given the fact that the chassis and engines have not changed much from last year. It really makes you wonder how many cars would finish if they ran that race at Sebring...

Wow, geee, what a surprise, a Ganassi team wins

I was pulling for my guys Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand... but then when their engine done blowed up, I pretty much lost all interest.

Is it just me, or is their GT class possibly even more boring than the DP "class" (although I hate to hang that word on GAC DP's).

Plus, with their weird pit rules, and the fact that there were way too many yellow flags (officials trying to control the race so that there was more than one car on the lead lap... even with that, they couldn't pull it off), it ruins the whole 24 hours strategy and pit stop precision drama of a real 24 hour race.

What a joke, for sure. In the LA area, the pre-race/ first hour was broadcast tape-delayed at 2pm PST. Needless to say, with hourly updates during the SPEED broadcast, no reason to watch something 3+ hours old.
