Default F1 Austrailia

Don't know if anyone caught it...but only 5 cars out of the 21 that started finished the race. piss poor if you ask me.

Only caught a little more than the second half due to Comcast being messed up in my area.

Big 'oops' by Heikki going into the last lap after just passing Alonso and accidentally hitting the pit lane speed limiter button.

Not a good start for Ferrari. (at least we got 1 point! )

Bourdais almost finished 4th in his first GP. I'm rooting for him this year.

I dvr it but haven't had the time to watch it yet. Was shocked to read only a few finished and also I think three or four where out on the very first lap. Endurance racing this is not lol. In watching practice and qualifying you could see how hard it was for almost all of the drivers to control the car without traction control. Very interesting first race with four different cars in the top.

I think it was 7 cars out of 22 that finished. Not a good start. You expect 3 or 4 mechanical failures in the first race or two. You have to remember that these cars are mostly all new designes that have only been tested and not raced yet.

The wrecks were bad this year. Some real stupidity going into turn 1.

The drivers do have to get used to the lack of traction control but I don't think that was a major issue for most. It was a problem for Masa going through turn 2 on lap one though. He is quick but way to prone to stupid mistakes.

Seabass did a good job but lucked into 4th place due to all the attrition and safety car periods. We'll see how he does. His teammate out qualified him by a bunch so that was not too impressive. His race craft is good for the most part so if he can find a handle on the cars, he will do well (or as well as you can in a Torro Roso.)

I'm not superstitious, but I am convinced that he had his problem because the US commentators jinxed him-they would not shut up about him past the halfway point of the race...
