Default 49 Entries for LMS

Wow....16 LMP1s and 15 LMP2s.....What a GREAT entry list for Barcelona.....Even GT1 looks great.....

Planetlemans.com | LMS - 2008 Barcelona Entry List

Yeah yeah yeah, there are some that will say that the 'quality of the grid' can not match the ALMS and to that I say, OK-so what- I would love to see an ALMS race (non Sebring and Petit) with a grid of over 45! But hey, that is just me....

The list does look good. I wish we had the same competition in LMP1. While GT1 still doesn't look great, at least it has a nice diverse field between the five.

Screw the quality... if everyone has to go around the same back markers, then so be it. It's part of the race. And.. that's especially true in multi-class racing. What's the difference if you're working through traffic of a quick GT2 or a slow LMP1.... slower traffic is an equal-opportunity distraction.

That is an amazing LMP1 class! I would love to have an overall field that deep in ALMS, if things keep going the way the are we could be there within a couple of years, hopefully not all just GT2 either.

Wow, that is a huge P1 field. I actually had to use my scroll button to see the entire thing ;-)

We are down to 48 entries and 15 LMP1s as the second Creation will not be there...

Last year I missed the opening round of the LMS due to the ALMS racing at Long Beach and Houston (yes I know I can not complain for swapping 1 LMS round for 2 ALMS rounds) this year I will be at Barcelona (and Monza).

Hmmm, Long Beach/Houston... Barcelona/Monza... I know which two I'd take!

Depends on where you are huh

Although I guess a flight from Europe to the US is almost cheaper than what I paid to get from Holland to Barcelona and in two weeks time to Monza thanks to the cheap dollar.

So what's the deal with Cytosport? They got booted off the entry list of the first LMS race for the Lavaggi. They look like they're on the entry for the next round at Monza, but who knows, maybe they'll get booted again...

I thought I'd read in one of the bear's blogs that their return to the ALMS for the 2nd half wasn't likely to be happening now.

Anybody out there that can fill me in?
