Lexus has confirmed that it's yet to be officially unveiled supercar, the LF-A will race in this year's Nurburgring 24 Hours. They say the car being entered in the race is just to gain data for the upcoming road car, but could they possibly be developing a full race version as well?

Perhaps we might see Lexus enter the ALMS next year in GT1 with an LF-A, which would be awesome. And with Honda saying they'd like to race the NSX replacement in GT1 as well, perhaps we could begin to see the rebirth of the class!

Some of the key changes include the addition of a chunky GT wing, bigger wheels and brakes, a new bodykit with oversized intakes and front-mount canards. Other changes include smaller race-style side mirrors, revised headlamps and a lower ride height. Inside, there’s a full roll-cage and carbon-fiber panels.
