Default Ok...I will make it more clear

1. ALMS has no sponsor
2. GARRA does and uses the fact in promoting their series.

Oh, btw..Why the switch in watch sponsors? Value with LP?

Nuff said........

LOL - Is THAT the best you've got? Your defense falls apart so you resort to name calling? Lovely... must be a Buckeye thing.

Name calling?

Where? Who?

Show me where your name is in the thread....connecting the dots again JT..tisk tisk.

Re-read the post more slowly for the obvious link....

Now, as far as you bringing in the Buckeyes into this thread, you are starting to exhibit characteristics of others.....

Um, not to interupt or really to change the subject much... (y'all are rather entertaining).
GARRA and CCWS are sharing a weekend at Laguna Seca in '08, and apparently they are squabbling over top billing. Just something told to me yesterday that I thought might fit in here.

I find it strange that noone sees the IMSA/Garra split in the same light as the CART/Indycar split. It splits the teams between the two and weakens the grid numbers for both series.

Also, people tend to lump all of the DPs into the 'ugly' category. Personally i find the Pontiac ugly and the Riley looks ok to me.

The Crawford looks decent, while the Shiden (pictured) that runs in Super GT shows the aesthetic potential there is in the DP class.

I hope the Dallara and Proto-Auto (Lola in all but name) are as good.

I would tend to agree with you. However, since GARA and IMSA weren't one series and didn't really split (as far as I know), it is not really the same as CART->CCWS/IRL. I thought that GARA was basically started up completely separately, yes as direct competitors and it was during the same time frame as the void caused by the IMSA breakup, but GARA was not really formed as a result of that. (my history knowledge on this might be flawed though)

I think there is room for more than just one major sports car series in the US. I just wish the cars were more inspiring in GARA. To me, they just aren't. That new design looks better, but for some reason, that whole package just doesn't do it for me.

It was basically the WSC teams now having two places to run-GARRA and ALMS. Several teams ran both for a while, until the schedules became more independednt (and ALMS found support from Audi and other foreign teams with newer cars). Then, the DPs came...

And what Pontiac DP are you referring to? I've never seen a Pontiac DP.
