Sounded like a very good race! I will wait to make any comment on the GT-2 finish until I see it.

That was a very exciting race. Watched the end of the race on the b ottom of turn 2 where a lot of action turned up. including corsa's rear tyre blow. Door to door banging with flying lizards and corvette, farnbacher lolas and panoz. Gil retaking the lead after fernandez sneaked by at turn 11. Really an amazing race.

It was great to see the rsr jag run. The crowd cheered as it drove by. Starting out of pit lane. I was surprised it lasted as long as it did. It just looked to week and fragile. Hope they do a lot od development over the winter to the entire car.

Autocon finished 3rd. A greeaat race for them.

I like the gtc class but after seeing it live... they don't belong on the course with the alms boys. But I get how it itroduces teams to thwe alms format. They r slow and don't add anything to the race for me.

Drayson in quail loooked super quick in the lola. In race u could till since the start of the race even at turn 1 klaus was eager to get by lord drayson. Maybe too eager. I was very sad to see the lolas day end early. Love the car!

I like dyson's arco livery... pls keep it for next year =)

Great season ending race.

Funniest thing I heard in the paddock. A fan was telling his friends that the alms is the same as grand am. Too funny but sooooo wrong to hear.

Second funniest thing I heard. Hindy saying "oh the pace car is off!" I saw it happen and I'm not sure why pag was road raging so close behind it. I busted laughing with hindy's reaction too it.

Sorry for typos doing this on my cell phone.

Incredible race. Just finished watching it and am still amped up. The last 35 minutes had me grinning from ear to ear. More than made up for the Petit scam. Cant wait til Sebring.

I just watched the race tonight. Must say I am very disappointed with Corvette's conduct on the track and in the pit lane (throwing punches at the Lizard crew). Those boys need to realize this is high tech racing, not redneck NASCRAP. Sad to see de Ferran and Fernandez gone now. Amazing racing overall. Glad to see the Jag is going to actually happen. Too bad about Drayson getting knocked out very early. I love this series!!! Too bad it's 5 months till Sebring.

Canada... that is something that I saw too not only at the Lizards during the end of the race but also throughout the entire race. Though many many fan's seem disagree with me and I'm not saying I'm right either. I think corvette was definitely taking that race as a test to see the physical limits of the gt2 car. Super fast speeds and late late breaking while trying to overtake on the outside makes me think they wanted to test if the car could handle such extreme limits. Yes I know this is part of racing but one of the corvettes even speeds by off the race line on the inside to overtake the dyson arco mazda but was going to fast missed the apex went wide allowing the dyson car to easily re-take on the race line. I know the corvette drivers are competitive but it seems like there was a lot of pressure on them from the front office too.

Anyhow, I have a feeling that corvette will win ever single gt2 race next year.

There is no doubt they will be strong but GT will have a VERY competitive field next year. I believe BMW, Ferrari, and Porsche will all win races as well. The real winner next year is us as fans, with the manufacturers throwing everything they have at this class and each other!
fanta is right about the end of the race being amazing, and no matter who you were cheering for, the good news is we have more of those kind of battles to look forward to next year.

Interesting imsa put both drivers on probation for the next 2 rounds in 2010 which then leaves them immediately off probation for Laguna Seca again. Barring non of them do anything at Sebring or Long Beach. I think the 2010 season in gt2 started on October 10, 2009.

Magnussen has a history of being reckless, anyone remember him and Papis in 2003 in Grand Am? Jorg's only other contact was with Melo at Sebring in '07 (I am a huge Risi fan by the way), and that was instigated by Melo. At Laguna Seca Jorg was instigated by Mags repeatedly hitting him and even short-cutting the pit lane. Even if Jorg turned Mags into the wall (debateable), what's he supposed to do? Let himself get run over every time someone else is aggressive? Mags used Jorg as a brake in the final corner, very unprofessional. I don't agree with the probation for Bergmeister but the whole Corvette team should be after their lack of class and concern for other competitors at Laguna Seca both on the track and in the pit lane. I'd like to know how many cars had Corvette paint on them after Laguna Seca? Surely the bumper car mentality was rampant through the whole team this past weekend. They shoe-horned Kaffer at Mosport too.
Rant over. I promise I won't complain about Corvette again until the next time they think they're in NASCAR.
