...off topic, but is anyone else disappointed in the switch of configuration? I think this venue will always be pretty boring (until they find something to put in the sandbox-castles?), but this move from the "premier" layout to a simpler one doesn't seem right for our race series (would be more akin to Grand-Am IMO)...
And I mean no offence to those that love MMP-but I just wish it had more to offer than a couple pretty buildings (that I am not shown in the broadcast-there is a museum there...) and black new pavement.
Actually I am 180 degrees to that opinion. I think that we are treated to a wide variety of track types and layouts with the ALMS and I consider 'our race series' to be part of the experience that is Le Mans. And IMO the perimeter layout at MMP is the closest thing we have to prepare our representatives for the Circuit de la Sarthe and could not come at a better time in the schedule!!

I can see your point there... on the other hand, 4.5 miles is also the closest we have to Le Sarthe in another manner!
(Meanwhile, I'm just hoping my beautiful track in New England isn't screwed up too bad this summer!)

I think not!!! As Nick (nkoske) brought to light somewhere else the scheduling of his local ABC station and the slot that the race is in. It has become apparent that the whole western ABC feed is delayed rather than live. What a steaming pile of EXCREMENT! Well I was going to blame the IRL and AG promotions (?) but it seems that their race is live on ESPN (ABC sister network) so that seems to be the wrong entity to blame. So who has Scotts e-mail address so all of us ABC western feed recipients can show our disdain for our treatment from the" World Class" "For The Fans" organization that put forth this fallacy of a "Live" race on us!

Just one more thing that shows america is headed down the toilet. Kids should not be watching TV at 11:30am on the weekend...they should be outside playing, playing a sport, making games up, or otherwise socializing with other kids. NOT SITTING ON THEIR FAT ASSES WATCHING TV at noon on a Saturday.
I was quite disappointed to see it as well a couple days ago when I decided to scroll to Saturday to see what time it would be on. Glad I'll be able to see the race in HD, though, but I guess I'll be watching live timing saturday morning.
