That's because there's only 1 Vici car racing...

I think they're planning to have the 2nd car ready for Lime Rock.

The track is abuzz here at St. Pete about the stellar job team Penske did following the afternoon practice seen.

Dumas while trying to avoid the stopped #5 Vici unfortunately collected the #5 creating substantial damage to both cars. The Penske Porsche was brought in on a rollback and the crew thought among themselves it was beyond repair.

However, The Captain took control of the situation and barked out orders like a drill Sargent. The crew replaced the rear suspension, wing, transmission and other items. All of this happening on pit road while the GT classes qualified. Roger even turned a few wrenches to help out.

Dumas rewarded them for their efforts by grabbing the pole. The team will now fix the car 'correctly' for the race.

I understand that. That's the comment I was trying to make. Thanks.

Front row, class 1st overall. Sorry for the confusion. Meant pole for P2 class.

Interesting the R10 has turned the fastest lap at St. Pete so far this weekend.

Yes it is. The closest would be Castroneves @ 1:03:307ish vs. Werner's 1:02:825 and 9 of the ALMS cars are right in the thick of it as compared to the IRL front runners (first 12 or so) so far.

Must report Vici has had to withdraw. The accident created chassis damage and cannot be repaired here.

Bummer. That's 2 losses for them this weekend. I was really looking forward to seeing them.
