| Since when has this race become 1hr 55mins in length? (Sorry, might have missed this bit of news over the off-season)
This is rather surprising, if true (as stated in the schedule). |

| Glad I'm not alone in wondering what the heck! Also the ALMS site schedule still shows it as 2:45 duration and starting an hour earlier at 12:30 vs 1:25? Maybe they are confusing what will be broadcast with the actual length of the race (?) as it is a delayed broadcast.

JT | That's a terrible surprise. What other kind of disappointments are we going to see this year? |

| I am looking forward to a return trip to St. Pete. My last visit was 2003 when Trans-Am and the series formerly known as CCWS shared a weekend. Hopefully the weather will be just as cooperative this time around.
And I have a sense of knowing my way around. Redwoods...Moon Under Water...will the sushi place finally stay open so we can eat there?....that Italian place inside the mall in town.
And, to top it all off, I hear JT has us booked in the Al Capone suite at the Vinoy.
Turn ten provides some good exit shots. This is also where we once stuck our necks out a little too far in 2003. T 1-2 complex is good for some under taking. I know the location of the media center.
All in all a positive return engagement.

| I think it was Courigans where I watched part of the race (the end) last year. The city and or race officials had erected a screen of some type to block the view from the bar and it mysteriously came down Friday night- happily allowing the folks sitting on the outside patio to watch the race while drinking Guiness out of plastic cups. I had a ticket to the race but while walking around I saw how much fun it looked to be at a bar with front row seating and my curiosity got the best of me.
Its certainly not the same as that Chinese restaurant view of the Mulsanne, but where else can you do this? LB, Detroit and Houston are my first thoughts but have never been.

| I'll look on the bright side and say at least it'll be less time with the concrete barrier(gotta make sure all teams make it to LB), but still sucks that it's no longer than 1:55.

JT | Well that does totally suck!
Maybe it's an IRL thing, what else could it be?
I always thought the ALMS was *endurance racing*................where's the endurance of less than 2 hours? |
