Default Sebring help please

Now that Horag, Peugeot, a DBR9, and a Zytec going to be there I am looking into going. Can anyone please answer a few basic questions? First, how long is the drive from Orlando to Sebring? How far away is the nearest hotel from the track I can book that isn't a roach hole this late? Is getting parking realistic if I attend Fri & Sat but leave in between? Thanks in advance. I looking at flying in Thurs PM and home on Sunday/Mon. Getting flights to the sun belt from Canada this time of year not too easy or cheap but I don't think I want to wait until Petit!

Judging by the state map, Orlando is maybe two hours from Sebring. Drive straight down in a south westerly direction. As to the rest of your inquires, I am unable to reply as this year marks my first trip to Sebring. I have a travel agent based out of Fort Meyers do all of my bookings.

You won't be able to get your car in on Saturday, but I believe they have overflow parking. I camp at the track, so I can't comment on hotels. If I had to choose between PLM and Sebring, I'd choose PLM every time. I'm biased though.

I have booked a hotel in Lakeland, 70 miles away. I am flying in to Tampa not Orlando as I can get & home only 2 flights each way. How early Saturday morning will I have to be there to get parking anywhere near the track? How busy is Friday? BTW bullitt I loved PLM!! I will go every year now for sure. Best race experience I've ever had. I also intend to do Laguna Seca and possibly Salt Lake this year as well.

Default Best spectator places

Where are the best places to stand as a spectator at Sebring? Are there stands along the start/finish straightaway? If not, are there good spots to stand to view the main straight assuming you don't have reserved parking along the track? Any pointers on where to best view the race from are greatly appreciated.

There arent really any good places to stand and view the front straight unless you have a pass for one of the terraces. Other than that you can stand or walk the rest of the track. There are viewing mounds all around the track. Check out the map on the website and it shows where the mounds are at. And dont stand in one place for too long or the fire ants will get you.
