| Crazy close qualy.
I think we're in for the usual great battles at the front and in GT2, becoming a trademark for this series. |

| A couple of thoughts: Utah Grand Prix was a blast being there. I'll give some things to MMP. On another site, there was talk of a lack of trees, grass, etc. Best things they've done (IMHO), shaded stands, and more restrooms than I've seen at any sporting facility. The hike from Parking Lot B kinda sucked, since walking was quicker than waiting for a tram, but if you got lucky, and the stars aligned, if you happened by a tram stop, and one was there, or close, they are quicker than the ones at Le Mans.
Also, pleasure meeting Messrs. Thawley and Dagys, and talking with them. Also, chatting with Mika Salo in the TSA line this morning at SLC airport (6:15am local).

| "They" said it was the largest yet. The two sets of stands near the Club House (last few turns) were very full, the one near the Attitudes turns were also pretty full. We had seats in the Paddock stands (near pit out) which were about 1/3+ capacity. Couldn't really see the stands at T1. The trams always had people on them, going around the track. Never heard a number, (of course. One will probably not be released) but I was impressed with the turnout.

| I'll say there was more green at the track this year, but it needs more to help control the stuff getting on the track and reducing the racing line.
Man Lucas needs to pull his head out of his....
The incident with Lou was clearly Lucas's fault, in everyone's eyes but his own, hence the stop and go for the avoidable contact!
Well the incident with the #1 with the Ford hitting the Audi, while unfortunate, was a racing incident as far as the Ford's involvement is concerned. The Audi was a little to enthusiastic in pulling that move, putting the Ford in the middle in a situation like that.
IMO these incidents can be attributed the extra pressure that the Audi drivers are now under (from Audi) to perform against the P-2's, which is brought on by another can of worms!
The LG Riley seems to be a pretty well put together unit for all the abuse that was thrown at it by others(Luhr and Melo)! Lou and Eric looked good in the car and the Dunlops seem to perform way better than the Kumho's did. Good solid forward progress for the team here. Lets hope that over the Le Mans break that Lou can get Eric in the car full time. Wonder just how much more tinkering Riley can/will do with the chassis during the break.

| Definitely the largest crowd I've seen at Miller. What I found interesting though, was how spread around the crowd was. Each grandstand had a good measure of people in them... whereas at the inaugural, it seemed everyone was in the main grand stand.
