Well the broadcast was bad, but it only followed the race in a sense, IMO. It is clearly evident that Laguna needs to fix the problems that created so many yellows during the race. I am a Laguna fan, first Sports Car race I ever attended was there, a long time ago! But this is something that needs fixing, period, making the excuse that it is a problem at other tracks is... I will Agree that it needs to be addressed at several tracks but nowhere was the problem as bad as it was at Laguna this year. I am not opposed to full course cautions for the safety of the workers to clear cars etc.. But work to the track is needed to aleve all the problems created by the traps and low curbs that lead to the FCYs. That they are there for (supposedly) the bikes, is also an old excuse as the safety designs have moved on, proven by the fact there is more run-off before traps at other tracks all around the world where the bikes run.
Another thing that would help everywhere is if the ALMS safety/recovery crew were to be expanded so there were more crews and recovery vehicles that traveled with the series and could augment the local crews. Also better coordination between the two entities for placement of personnel at the trouble spots to expediate the recovery process.
