Le Mans outlook:
Well Patrón Highcroft Racing, Duncan Dayton, has said that "We are 100 per cent committed to the ALMS. Sportscar racing will always be the soul of Patrón Highcroft Racing" also "Le Mans is a very big goal for us. Not just to compete, but we are very focused on winning the biggest sportscar race in the world"
With Gil also expressed a desire to remain in Sportscars and expand in 2010 to a 2 car team.
Lowes Fernandez is also closer to a deal in Sportscars and the ALMS than IRL and will not be a factory team in 2010. So if the program continues I would suspect we will see at least an Acura ARX-01b.
The P-1's are suspect at this time, just as all mfg programs are, per se. It is fairly clear that we will see Patrón Highcroft either way. Gil, to me seems much more tied to Acura (Honda), so we will have to see where those chips fall I guess.
