He's a gentleman driver - and had a very quick hotshoe (in Jonny Cocker) as his co-driver this year in British GT. But over the course of the season, Drayson made a great improvement in his driving skills, according to the team (Barwell Motorsport).
A move from a GT3 Aston Martin potentially to a GT1 DBR9 is a a big step - for anyone.. Ambitious move, if it happens.
That's going to be a hell of an undertaking. 2 brand new cars, in two series, for a newish team. Best of luck to them, but I don't know how well this will work.

Barwell is not a "newish" team. Although you are correct at it being quite an undertaking.

Wow, I was way off. A little research goes a long way. I think I was confusing Drayson's experience in BTCC with the teams. After thinking about it, I will be interested to see if the team runs the full schedule in either series. That seems like it would be an impossible task and take gobs of money. I wonder if they are leaving the door open for either series by making these statements?
