Hindery then decided to take his money elsewhere, and the remaining members of Orbit have spent the last couple of years in IMSA GT3 Cup and I think Grand Am GT. It'd be great to have them back in the series, they were my favorite Porsche team pre-Flying Lizards.

Here's a pic of the livery they ran in 2002, perhaps you'll recognize it.

I think Hindery backed BAM, when the split from Orbit came. As I recall, when they ran Le Mans in this livery, or very similar, it was Leo's last race as a driver. IIRC, again, that was also the last year BAM raced. I could be slightly off, chronologically.

Default Vici Racing

As was suggested on the alms forum....could this be the Vici Racing GT2 car? Edd contacted me to shoot for them in Sebring and was pretty sure they were going to race a partial season....

I recommended he possibly use two other photographers as I was no longer covering the ALMS....

Would be great news if this was Vici...Shot for them last year for the DP program at Daytona and they were a fun team to work with...

I'm hoping we get entries from Vici AND Orbit!

I'm curious.... which part of PRIVATE TEST doesn't your buddy get? \\

I don't think it's a big deal, hell it's on Moroso's calendar.
Moroso Motorsports Park

The mechanics/engineers had to see him taking pics and were answering his questions too. Either way, it would be great to have Orbit back. They are a really solid team.

They knew he was there, had no problem with him taking pics and were answering his questions. They apparently didn't care to keep their private test very private.

The real question is: partial or full season?

It turns out this IS Vici Racing testing. From what my buddy found out today (Or at least how he interpreted what he was told), Orbit owns the car, but Vici will run it. It is a 2008 spec car though and it will be on Kuhmo tires. How about this pic of the driver. Can anyone identify the helmet?

Planetlemans.com | VICI Racing joins ALMS, will start at Sebring

It is Vici and this article says there will be a second car sometime after Sebring...
