Default Intersport Racing Announces Third Tier of Services With Vintage Race Car Prep

Dublin, Ohio—Building on their solid reputation, Intersport Racing today announced the company’s expansion into the Vintage Race Car Prep and Restoration market space. The company, known for their #37 American Le Mans Series prototype championships and their customer race program in the highly competitive IMSA Lite Series, sees the expansion as a natural progression in their long-term growth.

Speaking from the teams race facility in Dublin, Ohio, Brian Alder, Intersport Racing Team Manager who will be heading the Vintage program, talked about the synergy the new program shares with Intersports’ racing background and current business model.

“We see this as a natural fit for the growth of Intersport,” said Alder. “We have everything needed to handle the race prep of all historic formula cars, sports cars, customer race cars and full restorations. Our shop has an in-house paint booth, carbon fiber fabrication and repair room along with a complete machine shop. Our 85,000 square foot race shop is large enough for long term vehicle storage of over one hundred vehicles. We are truly a one-stop-shop.”

“Additionally.” added Alder, “we provide instructional training and coaching with our own profes-sional drivers, all former ALMS champions. We help drivers move from vintage level racing to com-peting in the American Le Mans Series, and the 24 hours of Le Mans”

“It’s an honor for us, as a team, knowing we’ve had an influence on some of the top names in sports car racing,“ said Alder. “We have teamed with former vintage racing stand-outs Duncan Dayton, Rick Sutherland, Gregor Fisken and Bill Binnie. Racing at the top level of the American Le Mans Series and being invited to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a lifetime achievement. These are great moments in any driver’s career and we’re glad to have been a part of it.” Rick Sutherland and Bill Binnie teamed with Intersport Racing’s driver/owner Clint Field in 2004 winng the P2 Class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“We are very excited about expanding the company and taking on new challenges,” said Alder in closing. “We’re confident, given our numerous championships and race-winning success; we will reach our long-term goal of becoming THE race car restoration facility, in the North America. I firmly believe we have the right mix.”

Customers interested in discussing opportunities should contact Brian Alder at 614-760-9700 or by email at vintage@intersportracing.com.
