Alex Job Racing has added a third Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to his stable which will debut in the ALMS GTC class for the season opening Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring race to be run on March 20th. The GTC category is brand new for 2010 featuring the popular Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car.
The No. 80 Car Amigo/Alex Job Racing/Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car will be piloted by the Mexican duo of Luis Diaz and Ricardo Gonzalez. Diaz is the 2009 ALMS P2 champion. On his way to the P2 championship he stood on the top step of the podium in eight of 10 races, including Sebring. Gonzalez is an open-wheel standout that will be making his endurance racing debut next week. Patrick Kelly (Minneapolis, Minnesota), a GT3 IMSA Challenge front runner, will be the third driver in the No. 80 for Sebring.

Primetime Race Group completed a very successful debut test as part of the American LeMans Series official testing at Sebring International Raceway this past Monday and Tuesday. Team drivers Kyle Marcelli and Joel Feinberg showed very competitive pace giving the team great confidence going into the 58th running of the Mobile 1 12 Hours of Sebring on March 17-20 2010.
The test also marked the first outing for the new LMPC class prototypes. With Oreca staff on hand, the new cars showed very well with a good pace that fit comfortably between the LMP and GT class cars. Mechanically the cars gave off a positive first impression with very little issues over the two days of testing which was promising for the brand new race car.

Highcroft On The Pace In Pre-Season Testing

Patrón Highcroft Racing has completed an ideal preparation for the 2010 season after recording the fastest LMP2 class time at the annual "Wheels Down" Winter Test at Sebring International Raceway.
The trio of David Brabham, Simon Pagenaud and Marino Franchitti finished in the top three in all four test sessions over the two days - Franchitti setting the fastest time for the team aboard the Honda Performance Development ARX-01c chassis this morning at 1 minute, 48.263 seconds for the historic 3.7 mile Sebring circuit.
While the majority of races in the newly-renamed American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón will combine the LMP1 and LMP2 prototype classes in 2010, the iconic Sebring and Petit Le Mans enduros will run to the separate 24 Hours of Le Mans rules.

Muscle Milk Team CytoSport enjoyed a successful and productive final pre-season test at Sebring International Raceway this past Monday and Tuesday at the annual "Wheels Down" American Le Mans Series winter test - its final run prior to commencing the team's first full season of ALMS competition..
The duo of Greg Pickett and Klaus Graf, accompanied at the Winter Test by Porsche ace Sascha Maassen, familiarized themselves with the changing track conditions to cover more than 650 miles aboard their Porsche RS Spyder.

Risi Welcomes Back Pierre Kaffer For 2010 Endurance Classics

Houston, TX – February 25, 2010.
Pierre Kaffer, GT2 winner of all three of 2009’s sports car endurance classics – the 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le Mans and Petit Le Mans – in a Risi Competizione Ferrari F430 GTC, is set to return to the Texan team in 2010 to defend those titles.
The genial German, 33, will be partnered with Gianmaria Bruni and Jaime Melo in the Rosso Red Ferrari for the above mentioned races in the USA and France, and will additionally be paired with Jaime Melo for the Road America 2 hour 34 minute round of the American Le Mans Series. Flying Lizard Completes Successful ALMS Winter Test

The Flying Lizard squad heads back to their home base in California today after a successful two-day test in Sebring, Florida in which fifteen teams participated. The team's No. 45 and No. 44 Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs took to the track in their distinctive red and silver livery, and the team welcomed their new 2010 sponsor Openwave, who joins returning sponsors ShoreTel, eSilicon and Redlinecoffee.com.
All four Lizard drivers participated in the test: Joerg Bergmeister and Patrick Long in the No. 45 Porsche (reuniting to defend their 2009 ALMS GT2 drivers' championship) and Seth Neiman and Darren Law in the No. 44 Porsche. M3 racing cars contribute to the Story of Joy
Monday, the BMW Rahal Letterman Racing Team began the 2010 American Le Mans season with a new livery on both BMW M3 racing cars, helping to tell BMW's worldwide Story of Joy.
The 2010 BMW M3 GT debuted at the traditional pre-season ALMS Winter Test in Sebring, Florida. The new livery features words and phrases emblematic of the spirit of the campaign, which was launched in North America on February 12th during coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the XXI Winter Olympic Games.

Endurance racing champions, Risi Competizione, will be fielding two Ferrari F430 GTC cars in the hugely competitive GT class of the forthcoming Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, one of which will be for the Krohn Racing driving trio of Tracy W Krohn, Nic Jönsson and Eric van de Poele.
Continuing with an extremely successful endurance racing partnership – now in its fourth year – Krohn Racing will once again be joining with Risi Competizione for the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. In addition to these two races, the distinctively-liveried green and blue #61 car will also be campaigned by Krohn and Jönsson at the 6-hour American Le Mans Series Monterey event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, California in May.
