Robertson Racing will introduce a second Ford GT to the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón at Petit Le Mans in the 2010 season finale as the team’s program continues to expand.
The 1,000-mile/10-hour championship finale at Road Atlanta, which has also been designated North America’s Intercontinental Le Mans Cup round, is the home race for the Braselton, Ga.-based squad, making it the perfect venue for the team’s debut as a two-car operation.
The existing No. 40 chassis will continue in the hands of David and Andrea Robertson who will add former Series GT class winner Craig Stanton. A second GT, designated No. 04 and currently under construction at the team’s race-shop, will be piloted by double Le Mans Series GT2 champion Rob Bell, former NASCAR and...
Patrón Highcroft Suffers Late Race Flat In Tight Battle At Lime Rock
Posted By: Editor
Posted On 07-25-2010 07:30 PM | Lakeville, CT.
Patrón Highcroft's run of three consecutive American Le Mans Series victories came to an end at Lime Rock Park after the team was a victim of a late race puncture for a second year in a row.
The tight confines of the Lime Rock Park circuit produces plenty of contact and subsequently, plenty of on-track debris.
Debris struck the team again today - mirroring their late puncture that pushed the hometown team back to second place in 2009.
David Brabham was closing onto the tail of leader Klaus Graf today with 15 minutes remaining when on-car telemetry alerted the team of a deflating tire.
The slow leak wasn't hindering Brabham's progress who made a move for the lead on the front straight with 10 minutes to go while fighting through traffic.
In defending his lead,...
JaguarRSR Earns First Top Ten Finish And Points At Lime Rock

Posted On 07-25-2010 12:39 PM | Lakeville, CT.
It may have not been the overall victory, but for JaguarRSR this weekend at Lime Rock Park for Round 5 of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron, it was a moral victory to earn its first top-ten finish with the #75 JaguarRSR XKR GT.
As hot today as it was wet yesterday, the conditions have been brutal in Lakeville, Connecticut. The team had solid runs in both practice sessions and qualifying leading up to the Saturday race. After Ryan Dalziel qualified the Jaguar racer 11th in class, the car made its seventh start with Marc Goossens behind the wheel.
"It has been a short and interesting weekend," said Goossens. "It started off in the wet, and today it was very hot and humid. Our biggest enemy in the race was the heat. The ambient temperature was high...
Team Falken Tire Survives First Trip To Lime Rock

It was a hot and humid race in Lime Rock Park for Round 5 of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón. But the #17 Team Falken Tire Porsche showed its speed and tenacity around the 1.53-mile track for the Northeast Grand Prix.
Friday began with early morning showers, and after a successful practice, the team prepared the #17 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, knowing that the qualifying session would most likely mean running in the rain. Sellers’ teammate, Wolf Henzler, drove the Team Falken Tire Porsche for the qualifying session, and the car was undeniably fast. “Wolf did a great job in qualifying and really restored hope within the team and brought back the motivation,” remarked Sellers. Henzler was able to secure the second fastest lap of the GT Class, giving the...
Lizards Take Back Championship Lead

Posted On 07-25-2010 12:49 AM | July 24, 2010 – Lakeville, Conn.
Patrick Long and Joerg Bergmeister battled debilitating heat and grueling traffic at today's Northeast Grand Prix to take the GT class win and retake the championship lead. This was Bergmeister's fifth consecutive win at Lime Rock, fourth with the Lizards and third together with Long. It's the duo's third win this year. In the No. 44 Porsche, Darren Law and Seth Neiman finished a strong seventh in the thirteen-car GT field.
Starting from the pole, Long kept the lead at the start, and over the next 20 minutes held off the No. 62 Risi Ferrari which had quickly moved into P2. Narrowly avoiding an early race incident when car spun in front of him, Long held the lead and stayed out of trouble, pitting under the first caution for a short fuel top up. Patrick...
Drayson Racing Takes 4th After Luck Shifts at Lime Rock
Posted By: Editor
Posted On 07-25-2010 12:32 AM | Lakeville, CT.
Drayson Racing opened the American Le Mans Series Northeast Grand Prix by leaping from fourth starting position to second-place overall by the first turn of the race. However, a gearshift gremlin in the No.8 Drayson Racing Lola Coupé with Judd Power pulled down the impressive performances of drivers Jonny Cocker (Guisborough, Yorks, UK) and Paul Drayson (Gloucestershire, UK/London). Ultimately the United Kingdom-based team would have to settle with fourth-place in the Le Mans Prototype (LMP) class at the end of the two-hour and 45-minute event here at Lime Rock Park.
Cocker, the youngest-ever British GT Champion, made a remarkable start to overtake two positions and nearly the lead into the first turn of the 1.5-mile/2.4Km, 10-turn circuit. He then hounded the leader...
Stunning first overall victory for Muscle Milk Team CytoSport at Lime Rock Park
Posted By: Editor
Posted On 07-24-2010 10:30 PM | Lakeville, CT. July 24, 2010
It was a perfect ending to a near perfect weekend, and a great belated birthday present for Klaus Graf, as Muscle Milk Team CytoSport took home its first overall victory in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón at Lime Rock Park today.
From the drop of the green flag on the first practice session on Friday, the Muscle Milk squad showed its intentions as it paced both practice sessions and placed second on the grid for today's race.
Starting the two hour and 45 minute event aboard the #6 Porsche RS Spyder was Greg Pickett who won at Lime Rock Park in the Trans Am Series 29 years ago.
Although Pickett lost a few spots at the start, he did an incredible job avoiding an on-track melee early on to keep his team in contention.
