Oreca has expanded its activities by launching the ORECA 03.

ORECA has been a constructor since the end of 2007, and it has already made a name for itself with the ORECA 01 racing in LM P1, and the Formula Le Mans prototypes. The Signes-based Group has used the experience gained with these two cars to build the ORECA 03. This new prototype will be on sale forteams wanting to race in 2011 in the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the different Le Mans Series in the LM P2 category.

ORECA 03: Le Mans in its genes!
“ORECA wants to expand its activities as a constructor and we liked the 2011 LM P2 regulations,” begins Hugues de Chaunac. “This is why we’re unveiling the ORECA 03 today, which has got Le Mans in its genes! It will also take advantage of the know-how we’ve acquired with the ORECA...

Bill Auberlen added two American Le Mans Series GT podium finishes to his career tally after a roller-coaster month of racing. He started with a third-place finish at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio on Aug. 7, was knocked unconscious and broke a rib at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., on Aug. 22, then returned to the podium at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ont., on Aug. 29.

Auberlen, of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Tommy Milner of Leesburg, Va., combined for strong performances in the No. 92 BMW Rahal Letterman Racing BMW M3. They moved from seventh on the Mid-Ohio grid to lead the class, but had to settle for a third-place finish. At Road America, Auberlen gained two positions in the first few laps of the race, then was hit by a prototype and forced out....

#44 takes 9th; Lizards Lead in GT Drivers, Team and Manufacturer Championships

Joerg Bergmeister and Patrick Long took their fourth win of the season today at the Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport, extending their lead in the GT drivers' championship to 22 points. This is the team's first win ever at Mosport. In the No. 44, Darren Law and Seth Neiman finished ninth. This win puts the Lizards back in the lead in the GT team championship and Porsche in the lead in the GT manufacturers' title.

The eventful race came to a dramatic end with a major on-track incident involving a GTC Porsche, which destroyed the racecar and severely damaged a safety barrier. (The driver walked away from the accident with reportedly minor injuries.) Officials...

Chris Dyson and Guy Smith finished the accident shortened Grand Prix of Mosport fifth in LMP in their Castrol Mazda Lola after repairs from an on-track incident put them down the running order. “The car was quick, and at the end, was fastest it had been all weekend,” noted Smith.
Chris Dyson started the #16 entry from the back of the twenty-nine car grid after discovering two punctures after qualifying and the team elected to change all four tires. He was seventeenth after the first lap, eleventh on the second and sixth on the fourth. He passed David Brabham for third on the thirty-third lap and was second three laps later. On the fifty-fourth lap, a little more than an hour into the race, Dyson got pinched between two cars going into turn two and was...

Bowmanville, Ont., Canada 29 August 2010

Drayson Racing finished fourth overall in today's Grand Prix of Mosport. It was a dramatic day for the No.8 Drayson Racing Lola Coupé with Judd Power and for the whole of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) at Mosport International Raceway. A substantial accident red flagged the race with 29 minutes remaining and would take a yellow-chequered finish short of its scheduled two-hour and 45-minute distance as a result. Paul Drayson (Gloucestershire, UK) - who started the day's event from fourth place on the grid - and Jonny Cocker (Guisborough, Yorks, UK) finished fourth overall and in the Le Mans Prototype (LMP) class after a strong run by Jonny back through the field. In the process, Cocker set the race's fastest race lap with a time of one...

ORBIT / Paul Miller Racing dominated the GTC class in American Le Mans Series competition at Mosport International Raceway on Sunday, but a hit from a prototype car took the team's No. 48 Marquis Jet / GPR Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car out of the race.

Bryce Miller of Summit, N.J., started from the GTC pole position, after setting a class qualifying record on the 2.709-mile road course in Bowmanville, Ont. He led every lap through his 73-minute stint. Luke Hines of Essex, England, then took the wheel and increased the lead to 29 seconds. Just before the two-hour mark of the planned two-hour 45-minute race, a prototype car hit Hines, slamming him into the safety barrier. The race was red-flagged to attempt repairs to the barrier, but they could not be completed in a timely manner, so the race...

The historic and challenging Mosport International Raceway was no match for Muscle Milk Team CytoSport as the team topped off a perfect weekend with its third victory of the season.

Klaus Graf and Mosport teammate Romain Dumas led every practice and qualifying session, led every lap and nearly lapped the entire field.

The Muscle Milk squad came into the Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport with revenge on its mind after a heartbreaking second place at Road America last weekend and the team's determination showed from the moment the Porsche RS Spyder rolled off the truck.

The team was proud of its performances leading up to the race, but it only had one objective in mind and that was to take the win on Sunday.

Not only did Dumas and Graf give Team...
